Porsche 911 Carrera S 50 Jahre Edition

The 911 50th Anniversary is a limited edition of 1963 copies, a tribute to 50 years of the flagship of the brand. On the program, some stylistic improvements and proposed options on this model.

First of all, this 911 is no exception to the rule, it is a propulsion only. But, she uses the body of the Carrera 4, wider, to build the shoulders and gain aggressiveness. Technically, this leads to broadened routes (logic …) and a revised suspension. The Porsche Torque Vectoring system, which includes a limited slip differential is standard on this 50th anniversary version, while it remains optional on the Carrera. The Porsche Active Smart Suspension (PASM) is also standard here.

Under the hood, no surprise, we find the flat-six 3.8 l of the Carrera, developing 400 hp and up to 430 hp with the kit 51 optional.

This limited edition is distinguished by 20-inch Fuchs-style rims, chrome rods slide into the air intakes, the cover between the lights and the bonnet. Three colors were proposed in the catalog: Gray Geyser (closer to chalk), Graphite Gray and black. Some interior elements are specific to this 50th anniversary version, such as the central fabric bands of seats that are adorned with the ‘Pepita’ plaid pattern from the ’60s, or the green meter bottoms.

This 991 50th Anniversary, number 1237, has been delivered new in the United States. This is a first hand, the owner reported his car when he moved to France. It is equipped with the optional X51 kit developing 430 hp.

The car is now registered in France, the homologation modifications having been made. Two elements are still in American configuration: the analog speedometer is in Mph (the digital is in km / h) and the rear bumper is American-sized, so a square plate is placed. It is possible to change the bumper to « Europeanize » the car.

This 991 is in very good condition. There are some small paint impacts on the edges of the driver’s door, the rest of the paint being flawless. The rims have no scratches or impact.
