992 Dakar story

In November 2022, Porsche launched the Porsche 911 Dakar at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Created in the tradition of the Porsche 911 that won the Paris-Dakar Rally in the 1980s.

The new 911 Dakar was designed and developed with pilots and engineers specializing in Rally-Raids and the car has been entirely

reinforced and made more reliable for difficult and brittle terrain.

The model uses the same 3.0-liter flat-six engine found in the 911 GTS, producing 480 hp and 570 Nm of torque from 2,300 to 5,000 rpm.

It has a top speed limited to 240 km/h and can accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. It is exclusively all-wheel drive and is only available with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Porsche also limited production to 2,500 units.
