We are very pleased to present for sale this superb, fully restored example of the very rare, one year only 911 L. Limited to just 499 examples built in 1968 specifically for the US market, these cars are now very collectible. Featuring a 2.0L flat-six engine, producing 130 hp and a top speed of 131 mph. This model was the most expensive Porsche in the American market and became an immediate success and instantly collectible as a one year only production model. Having just been through an incredibly comprehensive bare metal restoration, this particular example, presented in its original colour combination of Dark Green Metallic paint with Brown Leatherette interior is now just about as close to a brand new car as you can get.

It has been restored to its exact US factory specification and now looks and drives as though it has just rolled out of the Porsche showroom in 1968. A rare matching numbers example, as confirmed by the Certificate of Authenticity, this 911 (11805422) was completed on the 17th of July 1968 and was sold by the Porsche Centre Southwest in San Antonio, Texas, USA. The car was imported to the UK in 2017 and the restoration process began. Completely stripped back to a bare shell and repaired on a Celette jig to ensure it was completely straight, the car was then fastidiously rebuilt with every single component either refurbished or replaced, including a full engine and gearbox rebuild. There are almost 300 photos on file documenting every stage of the whole process and over £45,000 worth of invoices on file for parts alone! Supplied with V5, COA, copies of the US title, large folder of invoices and the original tool kit. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a beautifully restored early Porsche 911 with all the hard work completed that would compliment any collection and could not be replicated for the asking price.
