This 1971 Porsche 911T Coupe was initially distributed by Porsche | Audi Pacific in Culver City, California, and delivered new through Green Motors Porsche Audi in Norwalk, California. First sold to Jack Ruth of La Mirada on June 25, 1972, showing just 14 miles, the 911 carried a factory MSRP of $7,665.50 according to the original window sticker. Options included a 5-speed transmission, ventilated disc brakes, an electric heated rear window, tinted glass, Fuchs alloy wheels, an appearance group, a retractable antenna, and a Blaupunkt radio with speaker.

According to the past owner, this 911T is a three-owner Southern California car. It was repainted in a beautiful color of Burgundy Metallic by the second owner, and the third owner commissioned SuperTec Performance to install a tuned 3.2-liter Carrera engine. In 2020, the engine was removed for a major service, which included resurfacing the cylinder heads, installing new piston rings, and replacing the distributor. At the same time, the transmission received a CMS billet side cover, a new pressure plate, and a sport clutch. Fewer than 500 miles have been driven since this work was completed.

The paint work is in great overall condition and is well preserved, featuring 911S trim, amber H4 headlights, Cibie rally driving lights, and a “S” front bumper. Inside, the cabin, there is a blend of originality with a few unique upgrades, including Recaro-style sport seats, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, a fire extinguisher, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM blue-dot radio. The 911 rides on 6” x 15” Fuchs alloy wheels with Continental Extreme Contact Sport Plus 205 50 ZR 15 tires. Having spent its life in California, the undercarriage is original, solid, and rust-free.

Performance upgrades are extensive, featuring a suspension with 21mm front and 26mm rear torsion bars, 22mm adjustable sway bars, Bilstein sport shocks, 930 brake calipers with drilled rotors, and adjustable spring plates. The 3.2 Carrera engine has custom 43mm Weber carburetors built by Paul Abbott, paired with a fender-mounted oil cooler, Wevo mounts, headers, and stainless oil lines. The close-ratio 901 gearbox is fitted with A, F, M, S, and Za gears (close ratio with a tall 5th gear), Stromski shift coupler, Rennline shifter, and a CMS billet side cover. Additional details include ceramic-coated engine components, authentic Oscar driving lights, and custom ST and R-style seats from Vintage Seats.

Complete with the owner’s manual, maintenance booklet, window sticker, spare wheel, jack, tool kit, and air tank. This 911T has been prepared and maintained by many California specialists, including SuperTec Performance, Callas Rennsport, Paul Abbott, Desert Motorsports, Ollie’s, and Jerry Woods. Its quality has been recognized with multiple Porsche Club of America awards, including Best in Show (2012), Best in Class (2010), and 2nd in Show at the PCA 50th Anniversary (2011).
