Produced only from 1974-1977, the 911 S 2.7 split the difference between the entry-level 911 and the top-line 911 Carrera 2.7. With new standard features including new impact-resistant bumpers and extensive updates to the car’s drivability and performance, the second-generation 911 (the ‘G-Series’) was much more comfortable than its predecessor without reducing its fun-to-drive personality. Buyers who stepped up to the S enjoyed an extra 10-23hp (depending on model year) and additional performance equipment such as a larger front spoiler, thicker anti-roll bars, and ventilated disc brakes.

Just as they were in-period, the 911 S offers incredible driving dynamics without compromising drivability. Enthusiasts and critics alike praise the 911 S for this and the simple fact they combine a fair amount of early-911 feel with later-911 comfort and equipment.
