Porsche debuted the 911 series in 1964 after the long and successful run of the 356. Instead of a 4-cylinder, the new model featured a 2-liter air-cooled flat-six and was smoother, more powerful, and quieter than the outgoing 356. Since then, the timeless design of the 911 has been built upon year after year.

By 1973, the 911 had been further refined and offered a 2.4-liter engine with 140 hp. It also benefited from a newer, stronger H-Pattern five-speed transaxle, mechanical fuel injection system, and ventilated disc brakes. The result was a well-polished cruiser that was thrilling both on the back roads, as well as on trips to the grocery store.

In this example, the original 2.4-liter engine was swapped for a more powerful 3.2-liter derived from the later model 911 SC, making around 270 hp. Other performance modifications include larger 911 S brakes and Elgin camshafts. It also sports many cosmetic upgrades, such as the flared fenders, front and rear bumpers, and infamous ducktail, thus making the car’s modified appearance evocative of the Carrera RS. To complete the look, period-correct Bosch H1 headlights, front fog lights, sport seats and Fuchs 15×7” and 8” wheels have been fitted. This wonderful 911 T is a well-sorted example of a “hot rod” 911 that will give you a smile every time you take it out for a drive, while maintaining a gorgeous, period-correct look.
