Le véhicule en détail

This stunning US-delivery 911 2.4 T was factory-specified in the rare, vibrant color of Dalmatian Blue and nicely optioned, including the Comfort Package and front and rear stabilizer bars. After time in the Pacific Northwest, the Porsche was acquired by enthusiast Charles Coviello of Connecticut. In 2010, Coviello had a restoration performed by one of the most highly regarded Porsche shops in the US, Jim Newton’s Automobile Associates of Canton, Connecticut. The 911 was stripped to bare metal, metalwork was performed, and it received a high-quality repaint in Dalmatian Blue. Its engine was rebuilt with 85 mm cylinders, a 9:1 compression ratio, PMO carburetors, and 911 E-style camshafts. The Porsche also received shorter gearing and RS-style interior door panels.

The 911 was next acquired by Richard Strahota, the current national treasurer of the Porsche Club of America, joining his outstanding Porsche collection. Mr. Strahota continued to service the 911 with Automobile Associates, and added a roll bar and MSD ignition. In 2019, a fuel leak caused a brief carburetor fire that quickly extinguished itself when the ignition was turned off. The engine was carefully inspected by Beck’s European of Scottsdale and servicing included a new carburetor and top-end work, documented by receipts on file.

This is an exciting opportunity to acquire an early 911 in a highly desirable original color that has benefited from high-quality restoration work and has been set up with maximum driving enjoyment in mind.
