History:
This early 912 was sold New by Competition Motors Culver City California.
At a certain time the car was parked in a shelter. Recently discovered in an untouched, unrestored condition.
Body and paint:
This 912 was parked for 36 years under a shelter in Texas. Due the climate this actually quite well preserved.
It has 3 rust spots:
Tanksupport
Pedal area
Two little holes in the floors
All the rest is solid and original. Never welded. No signs of any major accidents.
The car is one repainted. Doorjambs etc are still original paint. Paint ha some dings and scratches. We keep it as is. No cleaning no polishing. Fantastic patina!
Interior:
The interior is 100% stock original. First upholstery, carpet, headliner etc. One tear in the driver seat. The rest is amazingly god condition.
Engine:
The matching numbers engine is also 100% stock original. It still has the Solex carburators, original ignitions. etc.
It runs! to make it really driving you need to rebuilt the fuelpump etc.
Gearbox:
Matching number 4 speed gearbox
Wheels:
All original, date matching wheels.
