History

This 912 was delivered new by Moore Motors Philadelphia USA to Mr Eugene Pavitt in August 1968.

within the same year the car was already registered in California. No further history till 1997. Then the 912 was imported into the Netherlands. Same owner since 2015.

Condition

Body and paint 

The body is 100% rust- and accident free. Perfect panel alignment all around. 

Paint

When the car was imported in The Netherlands it was still mostly first paint. But because of cosmetic reasons it is repainted. Started from bare metal. Photos available. 

The paint is really one of the best paint jobs I have seen. Absolutely flawless. No scratches or dents or stone chips. 

Interior

Perfect, partial original interior. Seats are redone in cloth. Not original but so much more comfortable then the factory vinyl. Original wooden steering wheel but the butterfly horn button. Period correct Philips auto radio. 

Mechanical

This 912 run and drives very good. 

The matching numbers engine runs smooths and has plenty of power. No smoking or excessive oil leaking. Still has the original Solex carburators. (rebuilt) Only the ignition was replaced for a trouble free electronic version. 

The 5 speed Dogleg gearbox shifts smooth in every gear.

Targa top en window

The Targa top is restored with all the correct materials and the fitting is really perfect. 

Wheels

Original correct 4.5J correct dated chrome wheels including the spare wheel.
