No area of this 914 has been spared attention: within the last 500 miles, the car benefitted from a complete mechanical and cosmetic restoration. From the 2270cc engine and complete chassis/brake system refresh, to an exterior refinish in its original color as well as a refreshed interior–parts alone totaled $26,550 and are listed in detail here. Every area of this car has been addressed through upgrades or better-than-original components.

Le véhicule en détail

A Jake Raby 2270cc Performer engine with balanced flywheel and clutch was installed, paired with Jet Hot-coated European Racing Headers and mufflers. The fuel tank was cleaned and restored and a new Holly fuel pump and stainless fuel lines installed in the tunnel. A Setrab dual-stack oil cooler system was also installed with electric fans. Moving onto the chassis and suspension, new Koni sport shocks were installed all around with rear coilover adjustment, as well as new performance polyurethane bushings, new wheel bearings (front and rear) and ball joints. All suspension components were mediablasted and powder coated. The braking system was refreshed with PMB-restored calipers, new 5-lug brake rotors, Pagid brake pads and a 19mm master cylinder upgrade. Transmission updates include new shift bushings and new Renegade Conversion heavy duty axles and CVs. Freshly restored Fuchs « Deep 6″ 15″ x 6 » wheels were installed with new center caps and new Dunlop rubber. The vehicle exterior was resprayed in its original shade of Nepal Orange (L20C) with new weather stripping and seals throughout and the interior received new carpeting, a new dash cover, new center console, and gauges (including oil pressure, oil temp, cylinder head temp) along with a digital/retro-look radio/receiver paired with Focal speakers.
