First introduced in late 1991 for the European market’s 1992 model year, the 928 GTS proved to be the final iteration of the long-running grand tourer. Combining the performance of the GT with the comfort of the S4, the GTS offered improved aerodynamics, a 345hp 5.4L V8, and numerous luxury features. Unfortunately, this pushed the base price of the car well north of $80,000, with many well-optioned cars costing over the $100,000 mark. Naturally, this limited sales to only a few thousand before the 928’s production ended. Today, the GTS is one of the most vaunted versions of the car and are only likely to increase in value over time.
