In the expansive 1980s, a remarkable story of passion and dedication unfolded, led by the visionary Alois Ruf Sr. The fascination with Porsche began with a dramatic event. Senior had founded a tour bus company; during a drive through picturesque Bavaria, Ruf Sr. witnessed a Porsche 356 lose control and crash off the road with a bang. Like a true savior, he brought the damaged gem back to his workshop. The restoration of this 356 not only became a passion project but also marked the beginning of a new era.

His heart captured by the 911, Alois Ruf Jr. later took the helm. Not a fan of buses full of elderly passengers, he decided to focus entirely on Porsche, with a special emphasis on the 911. From the company’s German headquarters, Ruf Jr. began refining Porsche models.
