With the launch of the so-called ‘trans-axle’ cars. 924,944 and 928, the idea was that the world’s most famous sports car would go to the grave in the mid-80s, but thanks to the strong support of its customers, Porsche launched the new 964 in 1989. Already at the launch a car that was at the technological forefront and the launch model Carrera 4 implemented for the first time four-wheel drive in the 911 segment, something largely borrowed from big brother 959 but allowed to keep its nice traditional 911 proportions. Despite this, many years passed before the 964 generation received the love from the market that it actually deserved.

This wonderfully charming 964 Carrera 4 was born in August 1989 in Zuffenhausen. Dressed in a beautiful light blue metallic color that Porsche itself calls Baltic Blue. What today is perceived as a rather small 911 sits here low over its 18″ rims thanks to an adjustable aftermarket chassis. The whole thing breathes classic Porsche with a fairly clear undertone of attitude. But it is restrained and elegant and sparing of unnecessary details. An aspect that has become almost synonymous with the 964 generation today which historically stands as a classic car with classic proportions but combined with a more modern mechanical aspect.

This example came to Sweden already in 2000 and has since been very sparingly used. In recent years, the car has undergone a mechanical restoration carried out by M-Tech in Stockholm and has also been sparingly used since then.
