This exceptionally original and well-preserved 911 (or 964 as the model is referred to) C4 Cabriolet was completed at the Zuffenhausen based Porsche factory in April of 1990. The Dutch market Porsche was delivered through PON Porsche agency in Amersfoort in the classic combination of Midnight Blue metallic over a grey full leather interior. Today the 964 remains in original and well-kept condition, retaining most of its original exterior paint, interior and glass, and beautiful carpets and leather. The odometer reading of just 129.500 kilometers is well documented, and the car has remained with the current owner since 2012. This Porsche retains much of its original accessories. Its owners and maintenance manuals, lots of service receipts, tools, jack, spare wheel and compressor all are inclusive.

This 964 represents a great opportunity to attain a well-preserved example of the ever popular air-cooled 964 Carrera 4 convertible.

THE PORSCHE 964

Representing a major step forward in the development of Porsche long-running and much loved 911 sports car, the Carrera 4 and Carrera 2 versions—code named « 964 »—were launched in 1989.

The former marked the first time that four-wheel drive had been observed on a series-production 911. Porsche had experimented with four-wheel drive on the 959 supercar, and many of the lessons learned from the latter influenced the design of the 964’s chassis and suspension. Face-lifted, but retaining that familiar shape, the newcomers had been given a more extensive work-over mechanically (87% of parts being claimed as entirely new). Its new Type M64 engine enabled the 964 to out-perform the old « 3.2, » yet still meet the latest emissions regulations. The top speed increased to 265km/u with 100km/u attainable in 5.4 seconds.
