This 964RS was subject to a restoration in 2016 and 2017. The car underwent a full glass out re-spray, full engine and gearbox rebuild along with any other items that were required at the time. The file has a lovely collection of photos covering the works completed, including supporting invoices. This RS was imported to the UK in 1999 and the present owner has looked after it since 2015 where it has covered less than 500 miles since the restoration.

In the detailed history file is the original stamped service booklet, Certificate of Authenticity, owners books and also interestingly the German ‘Touringpass.’ This shows the second owner being Hans Peter-Paul Pietsch (the first owner being the Porsche factory themselves.) A racing driver in his own right but also the son of a successful German race driver who raced Bugatti’s, Auto Unions and Maserati’s in the 1930’s and then Alfa Romeos and Maserati’s in the 1950’s in F1. He later then went on to found ‘Das Auto’ one of Germany’s largest car magazines!
