The Porsche 964 RS is one of the most iconic and pure driving machines Stuttgart has ever produced. This particular example, finished in the beautiful colour of Guards Red, is made even more special by the rare option code M003. This indicates the coveted Clubsport package, which is why this version is also known as the 964 RS N/GT.

The M003 option transformed the 964 RS into an even more extreme version, specifically aimed at track use. While the standard RS was already a lighter and more powerful version of the 964, the Clubsport version went one step further. The interior was stripped of comfort features such as carpet and door linings. In its place, a fully integrated roll cage was installed, along with a fire extinguishing system and six-point seat belts for maximum safety.

In addition, the RS N/GT featured a stiffer chassis with revised springs and dampers, which resulted in sharper handling on the track. Mechanically, the 3.6-liter boxer engine remained largely unchanged, although minor adjustments were made to improve responsiveness. This made the 964 RS N/GT a pure driver’s car, aimed at those looking for the ultimate driving experience.

What makes this particular example even more unique is that this engine features several 964 RS Cup parts. This means that the 964 RS shares components with the racing version that was used in the Porsche Carrera Cup races of the early 1990s.

The 964 RS Cup was a specially developed variant for racing, featuring an uprated engine, an even more aggressive chassis and improved aerodynamics. The cars were used in the fiercely contested Carrera Cup, one of Porsche’s most competitive one-make cups, in which identical cars compete against each other on famous circuits around the world.

The addition of Cup components gives this Indischrode RS N/GT an even livelier engine character, improved performance and an even more direct driving experience. This not only makes it a special collector’s item, but also a car that makes its sporty DNA felt at all times.

The combination of the M003 Clubsport package and the Cup upgrades makes this example of the 964 RS one of the most special versions we have ever had the pleasure of offering. A total of 1,992 examples of this 964 RS were reportedly made, of which 290 were equipped with the Clubsport package.
