The Porsche 964 Turbo is an icon of the air-cooled era – but this example belongs to an even more exclusive league. It is fitted with the X33 Werksleistungssteigerung (WLS) power kit, a factory upgrade that raised output from 320 hp to 355 hp at 5,750 rpm and torque to 480 Nm at 4,500 rpm with engine type M30/69S.
The upgrades went far beyond a ‘chip’ tuning so common in Today’s world:

• Revised camshafts with profiles nearly identical to the 964 Turbo S (M30/69SL engine)
• Reworked cylinder heads and valves for improved airflow
• Higher turbocharger boost pressure and revised ignition mapping

The result was a far sharper and more responsive engine, bridging the gap between the standard Turbo and the ultra-rare Turbo S, but in an understated package. Only 192 examples worldwide left the factory with this specification, making the X33 one of the most desirable air-cooled 911s to collectors today.
