Unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Porsche 991 GT3 Touring reinterprets the ultra-sporty GT3 with a sleeker version, still combining driving pleasure and efficiency, all while shedding the rear spoiler, which will please lovers of sobriety. Inside, the gearshift lever on the center console reveals a 6-speed manual gearbox, with automatic heel-toe shifting, as in the 911 R.
Engine-wise, nothing changes compared to the GT3: the 4-liter, naturally-aspirated 6-cylinder engine from the 911 RSR and GT3 Cup develops 500 hp and is capable of 9,000 rpm in the mid-range gears. The GT3 Touring is credited with a top speed of 316 km/h. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. As the running gear and tires are identical, on the road this car is also very close to the exclusive 911R.
