Exterior

The Deep Black Carrera carriage has something mysterious about it. However, just a dark-tinted body would not be enough to achieve that. The original owner of this copy did not go one, not two, but many steps further: the 20/21 inch (front/rear) large RS Spyder design wheels, type designation, exhaust tailpipes and the tinted glass rear, all black. Not to mention the decoration of the interior… More on that later. The bright red calipers appear alone, but are not, looking at the beautiful red LED bar behind. A hit!
You can of course cause a stir with the way of composing, but it is the basic contours that really make the difference. The Porsche 992 is another great evolution of the original. On the other hand, he is more innovative than previous generations and that suits him. This piece of daring pays off in an exciting design that is sleeker, wider and tougher than ever. Striking: the front in particular shows more similarities with the classics 930, 964 and 993 than their direct successors. Back to the future?

Interior

Interior and exterior are a 100% match. The way in which the inside and the outside are coordinated is approaching perfection. This is also in the color: black leather upholstery plus a ditto Alcantara finish of the headliner, broadly determine the no-nonsense atmosphere on board the 992 Coupé. The heated GT Sport steering wheel has the same philosophy. The carbon dashboard panels are the 8th and last part of the uniform black equipment. Although, even… Indian red belts refer to the stopping power of the red brake calipers. You can never be too constricted in the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S! The predominantly rectilinear dashboard is reminiscent of bygone Porsche times in style. However, digital screens are all the rage right now. Just like the trim level.

Options & extras

Name an option and it’s done. From Adaptive Sports seats Plus to a Bose Surround Sound System. LED Matrix viewers including PDLS Plus technology determine the impressive forward field of view, while the Surround View Camera in combination with Park Assist allows you to take a look around the Porsche 992 Carrera 4S. With a view to infinity, the lane change aid can sometimes come in handy, because you can bet that Sport Chrono does its best to get the most out of the Elfer. Both warming up and cooling down is a breeze in the 4S Coupé thanks to heated seats and an electrically operated sliding/tilting roof.

Technique & performance

We suspect that you are more inclined to get a breath of fresh air than to warm up. And there are several reasons for this: our 911 is equipped with four-wheel drive, rear-axle steering and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) for road holding that clammy hands predict. The original Sport Exhaust manages to stimulate the senses even further, by using 2 turbos and 450 horses as the ultimate wind instrument. Speaking of blowing: 0-100 km/h can be achieved in a PDK-driven 992 4S in 3.8 seconds, while the top is at 306 km/h. In that respect, Porsche could just as well have given this 3.0 liter 6-cylinder boxer engine the addition « Turbo ». But you really have to experience something like this for yourself to understand…
