Faster than the light! That’s this Porsche 992 Turbo S Convertible. You know them, hypercars: Porsche 918 Sypder, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari La Ferrari. They all have something in common with this 992 Turbo S.

If you look at the statistics on paper, you won’t be able to notice the comparison. But in practice you will. In fact, the Turbo S does the same time over a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h as these hypercars. Just 2.5 seconds! Extraordinary! Porsche itself puts a time of 2.8 seconds. But in reality, it really is faster off the mark.

Appearance & Performance

LM5D, Gentian blue, is the colour this Porsche 992 Turbo S wears. And it looks pretty good on him, especially since this Turbo’s convertible top is also in blue. A beautifully chic look. Underneath the car we find the 20/21-inch 911 Turbo S Exclusive Design wheels. 20-inch front and 21-inch rear, with beautiful yellow brake calipers.

The interior is also dressed up high-end. The car’s sports seats feature leather and fabric. The sports steering wheel is alcantara and the interior finish carbon with chrome. The dashboard is finished in black leather. A fun fact! The interior was designed by Dutchman Ivo van Hulten.

The Turbo still has its regular landmarks. The rear spoiler, although it is a bit more subdued than before. Not to mention, the nice wider hips! Secretly, we sometimes long for the old-fashioned whaletail. But we probably won’t see those again in irelation to aerodynamics.

The performance, of course, we touched on in the beginning of this article. 2.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. For this, the Turbo S only needs 650hp. With this 650hp, the Turbo S reaches a top speed of a whopping 330km/h!

From 0 to 330km/h is fun, of course, but then it will be nice if it does a good job the other way around. And Porsche will not be Porsche if this is not thought through. With option 1LQ, or Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB), you can comfortably tap the 330km/h mark and then slam on the brakes without any problems.

So 650hp and the stats of a 1000hp+ strong hypercar! How is this exactly possible? Obviously the power of the turbos and the massive torque of 800Nm. But in addition, the Turbo S features new adaptive aerodynamics. Not only does the Turbo S have a rear spoiler that can be set in different positions. The front bumper also has a « spoiler ». This folds in and out at certain speeds and also increases downforce.

Enough about performance because this Porsche Turbo S Carbio has much more to offer. Namely, besides being a bloody fast car, it is also a very comfortable supercar! The car is very user-friendly and easy to use as a daily driver. This car features heating seats, Apple Carplay, navigation, adaptive suspension, ceramic brakes, cruise control, all-round view camera, electric seats with memory, folding mirrors, Burmester sound system and Martix LED headlights. But of course, not forgetting the lovely convertible roof.
