The “Black Edition” Special Edition appeared in mid-2015 and in addition to its details in black (bodywork, hood and anti-roll bars), it stood out for its equipment: 20” Carrera Classic rims, PCM, SportDesign steering wheel, ParkAssist, parking control speed, Bi-Xenon headlights with PDLS, heated seats, bi-zone climate control or Sound Package Plus sound package. The Boxster 981 mounts the 2.7-liter 6-cylinder boxer engine that delivers a power of 265cv. This is the last naturally aspirated 6-cylinder engine in the Boxster/Cayman saga, since in the current generation 718, both the normal version and the S version have 4-cylinder and turbocharged engines. For this reason, the 981 generation is the most attractive of all generations, not only aesthetically, but also mechanically.
