When Porsche’s 993-generation 911 arrived, RUF took the stock 408 bhp 993 Turbo and worked its magic, delivering a car with some 490 bhp. However, not all cars were built new in this way, with many 993 Turbos upgraded by RUF later in life. The stunning Turbo R offered here is one such example. It has been owned by the consignor since 2006, who was keen to add further performance and drivability. There was only one real option. His base 993 Turbo was sent to the RUF factory in Pfaffenhausen in 2012 for its Turbo R conversion. The upgrades over the stock 993 Turbo mean this car now delivers more than 500 bhp, as evidenced by the dyno readouts which accompany the car.
