Commissioned by Porsche Switzerland in 2021, this Taycan Artcar represents a unique collaboration between American artist Richard Phillips and Porsche, marking their second joint effort after his artwork won the GTE-Am class on a 911 RSR in the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans. Phillips, known for his hyperrealist style, drew inspiration from Swiss artist Adolf Dietrich and his 2010 painting Queen of the Night, which Phillips later adapted for the Porsche Taycan 4S. The large-scale painting, measuring around eight square meters, was reinterpreted onto the car, transforming the artwork into a dynamic, three-dimensional design.

The vibrant colors of Queen of the Night culminate at the rear of the car, where the flower’s blossoms envelop the bumper, illuminated by the Taycan’s signature horizontal light bar. Phillips’ aim was to highlight the Taycan’s status as an icon of electric mobility and speed. For this project, Phillips collaborated with application specialists from SIGNal Design, and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur added bespoke details. These include the Queen of the Night inscription on the door sills and Phillips’ signature projected onto the ground when the doors open.

Today, the car remains in remarkable condition, having only covered 605 kilometers since the current owner purchased the car from Porsche Switzerland in 2021, which is aided by the “self-healing” 3M paint protection film applied to the entire car. It benefits from a recent software update performed in February 2025, and its Porsche warranty is still valid until 12 April 2026. This one-of-a-kind Porsche Taycan Artcar uniquely blends nature, fine art, and automotive design into one truly captivating work.
