Sold new in California and never left the dry state. In 1978 at 95k Miles the original engine was rebuilt by a official Porsche dealer. Invoice back then $2800! More than the value of the complete car back then. Parked in 1985 due some small technical issues. Brought back on the road again in 2018. Made it reliable and comfortable again. Let’s call it a sympathic refurbishment.

Parked since 1985 in a dry barn!

Born in May 1957. Rare “ in between” model. Mix of T1 and T2 specs.

Condition

The preservation of the body is amazing. No signs of any accidents. All original panels and floors. Even the battery box! No rust! Perfect panelfit and amazing gaps.

Original color was Graphite Grey. One of the most beautiful colors on a 356.

Somewhere in its early life it was repainted in red. That was by the was very common in those days. Done quite well. At least they took the windows out and no over spray on rubbers.

Paint is old and has some blemishes. Still you could drive it as is and enjoy the lovely patina look.

Interior is in a nice condition. All gauges work properly. The Steering wheel shows the originality of the car.

This Car runs and drives good. Had a major service and a dynosheet shows the good power in the 1600 normal engine.

Great survivor and a real head turner.
