The Porsche 356 wears Porsche’s heritage like a crown. After the German championship in 1950 years of triumphs followed, with multiple 24-hour Le Mans titles in the following 13 years. The year 1960, the same year as this mesmerizing 356, marked Porsche’s victory again in the 24-hour race, class up to 1600cc. An epic battle against rivals such as the TVR Grantura, the Lotus Elite and the team MG added another layer of drama to this legendary victory.

The birth of an icon: 356 B

This particular 356 B, born from the triumph of the winning year, was born in America. In the 1960 model year, the B replaced the 356 A. This completely redesigned 356 B was ready to show the world the future. The power spectrum ranged from 60 hp in the 356 B 1600 to 140 hp in the powerful 356 B 2000 GS-GT Carrera 2. Visually, the B series distinguished itself with a higher-set front bumper, larger bumper rosettes and headlights that majestically explored.
