From 2005, Porsche started selling the Cayman. An absolute recipe for fun since then. Mid-engine, stiff suspension and thus a fantastic handling and driving experience. An affordable sports car with super driving characteristics. The beauty of the Cayman is of course that mid-engine. Weight between the front and rear axles ensures that pressure on all four tyres is equal and that the car steers very easily as a result. Actually, you just have to experience this, it’s like being able to write on the road with the car. Often this car is compared to the 911, I would rather compare it to today’s Alpine which is also praised for driving characteristics.

What makes the car sublime is the sports exhaust and the Sport-Chrono package. With a little flick of the thumb, you change from comfort to ‘sport-extra’ and the PDK downshifts a little faster to accelerate in no time.

The reason you’re looking for a 718 with 2.0-litre engine is probably because you want to buy an all-rounder. All the modern conveniences, good to drive every day or for longer stretches and a super character in the engine which comes out fantastic through the sports exhaust. Once you have warmed up the engine, you can feel what it is capable of; it revs up to 7500 rpm very quickly.
This particular Sapphire Blue 718 Cayman has only had two owners, has been fully serviced by Porsche and, with just under 15,000 km, is really newer than new.
