PORSCHE 911 3.2 CARRERA (G50) (1987) for sale in UK!

The 3.2 Carrera was launched in October 1983 and, although similar in appearance to the outgoing SC, had numerous technical improvements to improve driveability, refinement and performance.

Most notable was the new 3164cc engine that featured a digital motronic 2 electronic (DME) management system and a new Bosch LE Jetronic fuel injection to raise power from 204BHP to 231BHP. This not only gave a 10% improvement in fuel economy, but the top speed increased from 146mph to 152mph too.

Electric seats replaced the manual items in the SC, the heating system was also improved, and the interior featured more luxurious materials. In October 1986, Porsche made a significant change with the introduction of the G50 gearbox, which further improved refinement and ease of driving. It is these models that are the more desirable cars today.

We are very pleased to offer this stunning 1987 model C16 UK specification RHD 3.2 Carrera Sport coupe for sale. Originally supplied by AFN Isleworth to a Mr Raymond Hurst and finished in Marine blue metallic with linen hide interior, the colour combination it is presented in today.

It was specified as a genuine Carrera Sport as verified by the certificate of conformity with optional electric sunroof, electric seats, heated electric mirrors and now features the genuine Fuchs wheel upgrade of 7”x 16” fronts and 8”x 16” rears.

In 2012 we purchased this Carrera with 73,343 miles and carried out a recommissioning programme including a glass out respray before selling to its current keeper, and it has been maintained here ever since.

On the road, this is one of the nicest Carreras we have had here at Paul Stephens and still presents in beautiful condition, having covered approximately 4,000 miles since being repainted.

This is an opportunity to wind back to 1987, rekindle your youth with The Joshua Tree by U2 in the Kenwood cassette player and indulge in an analogue daily driving experience that owners of modern cars can only dream of.
