A copy of the original Kardex warranty card notes this 1969 Porsche 911 E Coupe completed production on 6 November 1968, finished in optional and rare Black headed for the Netherlands. It was sold via Pon’s Automobielhandel, the official Dutch importer, on 20 November 1968 to Bob Lampert through Porsche’s Tourist Delivery program equipped for the U.S.-market. Along with its optional Black paint, this highly optioned 911 was ordered with a left-side retractable antenna, dash mounted loudspeaker, white Hella through-the-grille fog lights, tinted glass all around, an electrically heated rear window, Dunlop SP tires, and a rarely seen and surprisingly expensive electric sliding sunroof. The accompanying history file shows that the car returned with Mr. Lampert to sunny southern California by 16 January 1969, with the car being serviced by Dick Barbour Porsche Audi of San Diego on 8 July with just 669 miles. The file continues by showing regular service by Lampert through 1997 and 81,000 miles when it was sold to its second owner, James Stone. Stone continued to care for the 911 E just like Mr. Lampert until the car was acquired by just its third and current caretaker in January 2024. Today the first-year long wheelbase Coupe remains an exceptionally well-preserved example with only 88,000 miles at the time of cataloging. Ideally suited for competition in the preservation class concours competition, this car is furnished with a copy of its Kardex, Certificate of Authenticity, original maintenance booklet, and service records dating back more than 50 years.
