Porsche 911 S

The Signature Edition comprised 100 coupés and 100 targas, allocated exclusively for select customers and Porsche centers in North America. This sondermodell came with a handful of distinguishing characteristics from factory. These cars were all finished in 944/9/3 Platinum Diamond Metallic, a soft champagne shade, and were also distinguished by their total lack of chrome. A set of 15” ATS ‘cookie cutter’ wheels were finished in matching Platinum Diamond Metallic along with headlight trim rings. Note on this car the trim rings have been removed and the original ‘cookie cutters’ have been replaced for a set of Fuchs, but if desired it would be possible to obtain a used set of these wheels and respray.

Inside the car occupants nestled themselves into a specially created interior combined of tan leather and a special beige tweed cloth. The steering wheel rim came in matching tan, and on the centre pad the signature of Ferry Porsche was engraved. A wooden gear knob with Porsche crest finished off the package. As mentioned this car has had the interior replaced by the previous owners in the style of a Singer, with a faux weave fabric, with black leather also replacing the original tan dash.

A beautifully presented 911, perfect as it stands or with a little research and work it could be put back to the same spec it left the factory with, potentially increasing its appeal amongst collectors.
