Het voertuig in detail

Already in April 1988 the car was registered in the Netherlands and in June 2018 it was registered in England.
Just before that the car underwent a complete ‘Nut and Bolt’ restoration which was started in 2015. No expense or effort was spared to restore this ‘primal 911’ to its former glory.
The entire paintwork was renewed, chrome and rubbers replaced, mechanically completely overhauled.

Meanwhile, the car was only allowed to cover 350km after restoration and is still in an exceptional new condition.

The car comes with his birth certificate, toolkit, numerous documents,…

History

In 1963 Porsche launched the successor to the 356. At that time it still had the type indication 901, but this soon changed to 911.
This created the most iconic sports car model ever in Porsche history.

Over the years the model range was expanded. Besides the ‘basic’ 911 with a 2.0L strong 6 cylinder – good for 130 hp – various versions were available. The standard ‘T’ (110 hp), the comfort model ‘E’ (155 hp) or the Super ‘S’ (160 hp). In the following years the engine capacity rose to 2.2 and 2.4 litres and the power increased each time. 125, or 130 hp for the 911T, 165 hp for the ‘E’ and for the 911 Super 170, 180 or 190 hp.

In 1967 the 911 ‘Targa’ came on the market as a ‘safety convertible’ with permanently mounted rollbar and removable soft top. Porsche combined the feeling of a convertible with the security of a rollbar. The first types – called ‘softwindow’ – had a detachable plastic rear window, but from 1969 a fixed glass rear window was supplied. In that same year the wheelbase was extended, resulting in improved driving comfort.
