Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer this exceptional, low mileage 911 (930) Turbo Coupe in the desirable combination of Iris blue metallic with a dark blue leather interior.

Built by Porsche between 1975 and 1989 and acknowledged as their top-of-the-range model for its entire production duration, the Turbo was at that time the fastest production car available in Germany.  Its 3.3 litre air-cooled turbocharged six cylinder horizontally opposed rear mounted engine, developed 300 bhp DIN at 5,500 rpm, and maximum torque 430 Nm at 4,800 rpm.  As with Porsche’s racing Turbos, the hot boost air is cooled on its way from the charger to the butterfly valve by an intercooler. This ensures that maximum air pressure and optimum filling of the cylinders in maintained under all circumstances. The 911 Turbo’s performance figures are very impressive, accelerating from 0-62 mph in 5.4 seconds and had a maximum speed of over 160 mph.

To ensure that the platform could make the most of the higher power output, a revised suspension, larger brakes, and stronger gearbox became part of the package. A “whale tail” rear spoiler was installed to help vent more air to the engine and help create more down force at the rear of the vehicle, and wider rear wheels with upgraded tires combined with flared wheel arches were added to increase the 911’s width and grip, making it more stable. The attributes which have always been chiefly responsible for Porsche’s amazing successes, also ensure the 911 Turbo’s everyday practicality, reliability, superb quality, and safety. Moreover, what made Porsche’s racing cars so fast on the circuit, makes the 911 Turbo so enjoyable to drive – superior performance, outstanding acceleration, and the marque’s characteristically excellent road holding, braking and cornering ability.

Originally supplied through Rosch Porsche in Nurnberg in October 1984, this 930 Turbo stayed with its first fastidious owner for 16 years before making its way to Italy.  Its comprehensive history file details service invoices and receipts throughout the car’s life – most notably, technical work carried out at Porsche Klassik, Stuttgart with invoices totalling near £15,000 alongside a recent recommissioning totalling £8,000. It was recently refreshed with a service that included spark plugs, brake fluid change alongside a fully rebuilt and updated turbocharger. This is a highly original example that would be difficult to replicate.  A 12-month comprehensive warranty is also included.
