This copy is as timeless as it gets. The GT3’s rather extroverted exterior is dressed here in GT Silver over black wheels shod in sticky Dunlop rubber. Ceramic brakes with yellow calipers are hidden behind. at the back, the car is of course dominated by its rather offensive wing, which gives a hint of what is hiding underneath. ‘4.0’ is embossed under both wing arms. Which of course refers to the now legendary 4L engine that rests behind the rear axle. An engine that is most likely the absolute sharpest and the ultimate iteration of Porsche naturally aspirated engines.
The inside is, as it should be, covered in leather and alcantara which is sewn together with red contrast stitching. The carbon fiber shell seats are adorned with a red stripe that runs along the inlays and is broken off by the GT3 emblem. Behind them, of course, you find a black semi-cage where the back seat normally resides in a ‘regular’ 911. It is when you buckle down with the 6-point seat belt and turn the ignition that you understand the gravity of the moment. There must be cars with more power and maybe a few cars that are faster around the Nordschleife today, but nothing. NOTHING makes you feel like a GT3 from this generation.
