Porsche has never made a convertible GT3, but the Speedster shares the 991.2 GT3s 4.0 liter flat-6, 6 speed manual transmission, steering assembly, carbon-ceramic brakes, and wheels, amongst other items. All-in, it’s far closer to a being a convertible GT3 than it is to any other car in the 911 lineup. Like previous iterations of the Speedster, the 991 Speedster has a cut-down windshield a full 2 inches shorter than a standard 911 convertible, which necessitates the bespoke semi-manual convertible top. Number 1861 of the 1948 Speedsters produced, this Miami Blue beauty represents the purest distillation of topless Porsche driving nirvana and remains one of the most special cars to have left Stuttgart in the 21st century.
