The Porsche 996 is known for introducing the first major redesign of the 911 with a water-cooled engine. The 40 Jahre version was produced in 1963 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 911. The example we are offering is number 384 and is a third-hand example of German origin.

This 40 Jahre model is in excellent overall condition, testament to the care taken by its owners.

Exterior:

This special version takes the bumper from the 4S and Turbo and the rocker panels from the GT3. The bodywork here is in excellent condition, with the exception of a slight scratch on the front right bumper. The ‘GT Silber Met’ paintwork, common to the Carrera GT, has a very nice sheen and the wheels are in excellent condition.

Interior:

The interior is a perfect match for the exterior. The leathers are well maintained, with no significant signs of wear. The seats offer very good support. The black alcantara headlining looks great and the sunroof works perfectly. The interior obviously includes touches specific to this edition, such as the body-coloured seat shells and centre console or the aluminium meter surround.

Mechanics:

The Flat-6 equipped with the X51 kit starts off without a hitch and is smooth and responsive. The 6-speed manual gearbox is precise, contributing to a pleasant and sporty driving experience.
