This 2004 Porsche 996 GT3 RS is one of 682 examples ever built and today has just 38,506 km on its odometer.
It also has a very nice history. The car was delivered new in Monaco to multiple Superbike Worldchampion Troy Bayliss, who later sold it to famous Belgian cyclist Philippe Gilbert.
The Porsche is in very nice condition and is completely damage-free. Only the front cover has been sprayed because of the well-known problem of blisters forming under the paint due to the carbon material.
The original service booklets are present. Furthermore, there are nice Factory options present such as a white painted roll cage, red seat belts, Litronic headlights and a fully automatic air conditioning.
The first 911 GT3 (type 996) was developed by Porsche in 1999 to homologate the 911 for the FIA GT3 category. In competition form, the GT3 enjoyed success with class wins at Le Mans, Sebring and Daytona. For 2003, an even more racing-oriented RS variant was introduced. Using the same 380hp flat-six as the standard GT3, the RS was made more flexible through weight-saving measures, including a polycarbonate rear window and a carbon-fibre engine cover and rear wing.
The 996 GT3 RS was only available in Carrera white colour. The only choice was to choose between red or blue contrasts on rims and striping.
