This 356 B (T5) Roadster is a rare classic Porsche.
Not to be confused with a regular cabriolet, the Roasters, built by Drauz coachworks between 1959 and 1961 (for model years 1960 to 1962), are a direct descendant of a Speedster.
With the sleeker silhouette, a lower, more attractive windscreen with the chrome surround (like a Speedster, built to be removable for sporting use), one-piece wind up windows, the lovely Speedster style dash board, no rear seats and a lighter single layer hood. Research suggests just 2,653 of the Roadster variants were built. With their sporting slant, and at one-time small value, very few cars remain.
This one, like most Roadsters, was delivered new in 1960 in the USA. We condition grade our classics and this one is a 3. It is an older restoration that presents nicely and can be used immediately. It is not without its flaws, but that reflects in the price and means you could enjoy it as is, or improve it along the way.
