Produced only from 1974-1977, the 911 S 2.7 represented the middle model for the early G-Series second-generation 911s. Like all G-Series cars, the 911 S sported new impact-resistant bumpers and extensive updates to the car’s drivability and performance. With an extra 10-23hp (depending on model year), the 911 S offered a boost to performance over the standard car in addition to extra standard performance equipment such as a larger front spoiler, thicker anti-roll bars, and ventilated disc brakes.
Just as they were in-period, the 911 S offers incredible driving dynamics without compromising drivability. Enthusiasts and critics alike praise the 911 S for this and the simple fact they combine a fair amount of early-911 feel with later-911 comfort and equipment.
