Porsche 911 Carrera RS
Highlights
- Dalmatian Blue
- restored to an exceptionally high level
- completely CoA-matching example
Now available from CPR Classic is this stunning 1973 Porsche Carrera RS painted in Dalmatian Blue over a black leather interior. The car is one of only fifty-five Carrera RS’s originally painted in in Dalmatian Blue of 1500 examples produced.
The car was originally delivered in Rome and has spent the majority of its life in Europe. Several years ago, the car was completely restored by an Italian marque specialist to concours standards. We purchased the car from the restorer, imported it to the United States and sold it to one of our most prestigious collectors in the southern California area. Throughout our client’s ownership the car was thoroughly scrutinized by us at CPR to get the car as correct as possible aside from several minor changes the owner preferred:
- Polished wheels as opposed to the original anodizing
- Charcoal canister and evaporation tubing for the fuel tank which RS cars were not delivered with new. The system was installed because the owner was particular about the car not smelling like fuel.
- Standard European turn signal lenses
- The car is also wearing a reproduction of its original Rome license plate with correct plate numbers
