The engine and transmission cases are the originals, and therefore matching numbers, but totally rebuilt with many modifications taking it to almost 2,400cc. It was built for torque and cruising, rather than revs and racing. Carburation comes via modern Webers, whilst the exhaust and ignition have been uprated and updated.

One look inside and things have obviously improved from 1971. Gone are the vinyl ‚chairs‘, replaced with perfectly shaped custom finished Recaro CS, giving a level of comfort and security that a 1971 911 never had. The fabrics were chosen for quality, with chestnut leather for the seats, doors, and lower dash, whilst the dash top and door tops have received complimentary black leather. The revised trim and door panel design reflect the factory theme.

The carpets, custom made for this car, are gorgeous black and have a luxurious look and feel. Hidden behind the upholstery is extensive sound proofing, alarm, remote locking and modern audio within a classic Blaupunkt head unit. In your hands, a beautiful Italian Nardi steering wheel, complimented by refurbished custom instrumentation. The finishing touch is superb ice-cold electric air conditioning.

This is a classic 911, reimagined for today. It remains subtle, though oozing quality. A fabulous machine to drive, engaging in a way few others dream of.
