Original Porsche invoices (2001-2004) are available from the time in Italy, including the purchase receipt from the second owner. He purchased the car on 26.07.2001 at the Porsche Center Padova. Between 1991 and 2003, the Targa was fully serviced by Porsche in Italy. There are also invoices and MOT reports from the period in Germany.
In 2007, the car underwent extensive maintenance at CARTRONIC, including a performance upgrade. At the heart of the work was a modified mass air flow sensor, a single-mass flywheel from the 964 RS with sports clutch and steel flex lines. The performance increase is officially registered and amounts to 220 kW (299 hp), which was confirmed by a test bench run at the time. The revving pleasure, especially in the upper rev range, is a lot of fun.
The Targa is not accident-free: In 2009, the third owner lost control on the highway and collided with a crash barrier. Parts at the front and rear were subsequently repaired. There is no documentation available, but the repair was carried out professionally; according to visual inspection, it was mainly external sheet metal parts that were affected. In the course of this, the entire vehicle was repainted, which is why repainting (measured values 200-400 µm) can also be measured on the remaining sheet metal.
Visually, the Targa impresses with a very attractive paint finish, harmonious gap dimensions and an all-round well-kept overall impression - both inside and out. The leather in the interior shows very little wear.
We recently carried out some work on the Targa, which is described below:
