This 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS was originally built for the Belgium/Luxembourg market. The car left the factory as a M472 Touring Model in Signal Yellow 5252 with a Black Leatherette interior. Exactly as how it looks today. In 1982, the car was acquired by a Mr. Bataille from Hyères, a Mediterranean coastal town in the south of France.
In 1983 the car was shipped from France to the United States of America. In September 1986, the car was traded by Thomas Slater to an Art Dealer in Santa Fe, Mr. Malcolm Grimmer, for an Indian Scout Jacket and a Pletka painting. According to some documentation in the car’s history file the car was very sound and damage free, “which is a bonus as many RS Carreras had been raced in Europe and were rusty”.
