The vehicle in detail

Chassis No. WP0AG2A92PS252260
Sport Classic Limitation No. 0737/1250

First unveiled in 997-guise for 2010, the Porsche 911 Sport Classic was a limited-edition model built by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, featuring an uprated 3.8-liter 402-horsepower engine and styling inspired by the Carrera RS 2.7 of the early 1970s. With a six-speed manual transmission, rear-wheel drive and a fixed “ducktail” rear spoiler, the Sport Classic embodied key Porsche design principles, while also incorporating modern technology such as Ceramic Composite brakes, adjustable dampers and Stability Management. Offering a superb driving experience, the cars were an immediate hit with drivers and collectors alike; their appeal was enhanced by a total production run of just 250 units.

After a hiatus of twelve years, Porsche announced a new 911 Sport Classic in April 2022. Built on the 992 platform, the second-generation model refined the original concept, this time using the Turbo as its basis. It retained the Turbo’s 3.7-liter twin-turbocharged engine paired with a seven-speed manual transmission, but featured rear-wheel drive rather than all-wheel drive. This required a slight reduction in output to 542 horsepower and 443 lb-ft, preventing excess strain on drivetrain components. However, removing all-wheel drive saved 200 pounds, giving the Sport Classic a power-to-weight ratio exceeding that of the Turbo.

Such performance necessitated robust supporting systems; rear-wheel steering, adaptive dampers, carbon ceramic brakes and active anti-roll bars—all derived from the Turbo S—being key examples. Additionally, Dynamic Chassis Control and Active Suspension Management ensured that the car’s capabilities could be explored with confidence while maintaining driver engagement.

As expected, equal attention was given to the Sport Classic’s design. It retained the Turbo’s widebody stance, now featuring a carbon fiber hood, “double-bubble” roof and ducktail spoiler. The distinctive center-lock wheels—20 inches at the front and 21 at the rear—echoed classic Fuchs designs from the 1970s.

Inside, the cabin was among the most refined 911 interiors to date. Leather seats with houndstooth inserts, along with wood trim and green instrument lighting, evoked earlier 911s. The driving position, a longstanding Porsche strength, was further perfected through extensive development.

In performance terms, the Sport Classic’s zero–60 time of 4.1 seconds and top speed of 196 mph were impressive, though its mid-range performance stood out most. The seven-speed gearbox allowed 70 mph in top gear at just 1,800 rpm, while peak torque at 2,000 rpm enabled rapid acceleration. Combined with a compliant chassis and rear-wheel-drive layout, the car delivered a distinctive and engaging driving experience.

One of just 1,250 serialized 992-generation 911 Sport Classics, this magnificent example, limitation number 0737, was delivered the following month to The Collection in Coral Gables, Florida with 10 delivery miles. Finished in the exceptional Paint to Sample color of Golf Blue—a warm non-metallic blue that first appeared for a two-year run in 1966—over a Black and Cognac Heritage Design interior, it boasts a generous specification including Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, Sport Chrono, PASM Sport Suspension, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, Adaptive 18-Way Sport Seats Plus with Backrest Shells in Leather, Extended Dashboard and Door Panel Package in Leather, Front Axle Lift, and a Carbon Fiber Roof.

Inside, optional extras include Burmester High-End Surround Sound System, Ambient Lighting, Power Steering Plus, Interior Trim Inlays in Leather, Lane Change Assist, and Inner Door-Sill Guards in Leather. Optional extras on the exterior include Exterior Mirror Bases in Golfblau, Exclusive Design Taillights, Front Protection Film, and Exterior Silver Accent Package among others listed on the accompanying VIN Analytics Report.

The clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report reveals it was held by its original owner until January 2026 before being acquired by the consignor as an Approved Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle with just 119 miles on the odometer. At the time of cataloging, it features a single additional mile and remains in excellent, like-new cosmetic condition commensurate with its low 120 total mile total.

Offering an irresistible blend of spectacular yet accessible performance, exquisite levels of finish, limited build numbers, and unique Porsche heritage, the Sport Classic assuredly represents one of the most accomplished Porsche—and indeed GT-class—”all-rounders” of recent times. In the case of Sport Classic number 0737, it is further distinguished by its near-delivery mileage, Certified Pre-Owned status, and exceptional Paint to Sample finish, and would represent an excellent addition to any discerning collection seeking an exquisitely specified example.
