Original Porsche 356 C Matching numbers

This 356 was sold to Denver Colorado (USA) by the Pons company in Holland on October 2, 1963. The vehicle was then imported back to Europe in the early 1990s. Where it was then restored by a car dealership. This makes it one of the rare models that were not manufactured for the US market. The vehicle was always kept in a showroom and was only moved very little. The engine was also overhauled and has not run 500 km since then. After the vehicle came into my possession, I first had to overhaul the complete brake system. The carburetor and the tank were so resinous due to the long service life of over 20 years that I also overhauled them first. I couldn't see any accident damage on the vehicle. Only the sills were replaced and repaired. In my opinion, the original underbody should still be present here. There is also no play in the front axle.

The vehicle in detail

The outer skin is very straight, which can also be seen very clearly in the new black paint. The door gaps and the hoods fit perfectly. The engine runs very well and has probably also been given a bit of a performance boost. During the oil change I noticed that it has the wide camshaft from the Porsche 912. I therefore assume that it has just under 100 hp. The engine also runs very smoothly. Original 40 Weber twin carburetors were also installed here. The transmission shifts very easily and makes no noise, which is very rare in these vehicles.

In the interior, the side panels, the dashboard and the parcel shelf have been renewed in genuine leather. Only the front seats are still made of artificial leather and have not yet been restored. To own a perfect vehicle, these should still be renewed.

The Kardex card is also present, confirming that the engine, transmission, doors and hoods are MatchingNumber.

The vehicle was presented for a general inspection in June 2025 and was checked without any defects. An H-approval was also issued.

This model was produced from 1963 to 1965 and was equipped with a powerful 4-cylinder boxer engine with 75 hp, with which you can still flow perfectly in traffic today. It is estimated that there are still around 200 vehicles in existence today.
