The vehicle in detail

Since the press tools for the new G-model fenders were not yet completed in the summer of 1973, Porsche made do with existing Carrera RS parts. This resulted in a unique technical configuration:

  • Original Carrera RS fenders: The vehicle features the coveted RS fenders with the higher outer edge. This detail is found worldwide on only about 20 pre-production vehicles, which were sent to European dealers at the time of the market launch.
  • Precise Instruments: Both the speedometer and tachometer from the Carrera RS are installed in the cockpit—recognizable by their characteristic “pointed” needles.
  • Authentic details: The equipment includes the small chrome mirror from the 1973 F-model as well as manual seat belts (specific to the Italian market at the time).
  • Magnesium heart: Under the rear hood is the legendary 2.7-liter MFI engine (mechanical fuel injection) straight from the Carrera RS.
