In the fall of 1973, Porsche presented the G-series. The increase in engine capacity in the top model Carrera 2.7 was impressively noticeable. The car accelerated to 100 kph in 6.3 seconds and only stopped at 240 kph: racing for the road! The 2.7-liter boxer engine was replaced by the 3.0-liter engine in 1976 because the sharp RS could not meet the new emissions standards.
