Launched in 1984 as the successor to the SC, the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 established itself as the ultimate evolution of the original 911 G-series lineup. It featured a new 3.2-liter engine producing 231 horsepower, equipped with Bosch Motronic fuel injection, which greatly improved reliability and fuel economy. The first 3.2 models were equipped with the older Type 915 transmission, known for its demanding nature, before it was replaced by the G50 transmission in 1986—a much more modern and smooth-shifting unit. Our example is equipped with a G50 transmission, the most sought-after version.
This 911 was delivered new in France, to Marseille. Its mileage is traceable thanks to the service booklet and numerous Histovec records.
This example is in very good overall condition.
The bodywork is well-preserved. The paint was redone during a previous owner’s ownership. The alignment and fit are correct. We note a few subtle signs of wear, which do not detract from the overall beautiful appearance of this 911. The Fuch wheels are in good condition, as are the headlight lenses.
Inside the cabin, the black seats are in good condition. The dashboard shows no defects. The headliner is taut. The black leather steering wheel is very well preserved. The instrument panel is functional.
The 3.2-liter flat-6 starts easily and revs up nicely. Gear changes are smooth and pleasant. Handling is good. The rear tires are practically new. The front tires are from 2017. The owner reports that the engine is running smoothly. The car is serviced by a Porsche specialist in the Avignon area.
