This convertible was originally delivered in the USA on January 31, 1987.
However, in 1991, the car was brought back to Germany. The original vehicle registration document shows that the car was registered to Ms. Barbera B. from Idar-Oberstein on April 3, 1991.
In 1995, this 911 Carrera was sold through the Porsche Center in Hofheim to a pilot from the Frankfurt area with 85,000 km on the clock, who kept the car until 2024.
When we found the car in 2024, it had been sitting in its garage for at least 10 years due to a defective fuel pump.
In this context, one can truly speak of a real barn find (see last picture), which really interested us due to its extremely good condition, and we quickly decided to carefully restore the vehicle so that we could drive it ourselves.
In this context, we carried out a complete engine rebuild and converted it to the Euro version with high compression and 231 hp. New pistons and cylinders were installed, including a 100-cell catalytic converter.
The car also received a new brake system with new discs, pads, steel flex brake lines, and calipers, as well as a new Bilstein sporty road suspension.
We had the very rare and valuable original 7/8×15-inch Fuchs rims reworked by a specialist and had the rim stars painted in the vehicle color, as they were when the car was originally delivered. The vehicle also received a new set of Pirelli tires.
The soft top and tonneau cover were renewed in the original soft top color of mahogany brown in Sonnenland quality.
In addition, the air conditioning compressor was replaced, and a contemporary Blaupunkt Frankfurt DAB radio and modern LED headlight technology from Porsche were installed.
The interior is in exceptionally good condition and, with its very rare turbo seats, gives a truly exclusive impression. In fact, we have only had the steering wheel rim and gear knob reupholstered in leather; the rest is still completely original.
The car is being sold with a revision of the original G 50 transmission, which is already included in the purchase price. The clutch package was already replaced during the engine overhaul.
The car is currently registered and can be viewed and test driven by appointment.
We ask for your understanding that, due to the upcoming transmission overhaul, the expected delivery date will not be until the end of March/beginning of April, just in time for the start of the convertible season.
The mileage of 157,000 km corresponds to the odometer reading and is not 100% verifiable based on the available documents.
