It was for the 1988 model year that Porsche presented this limited series, the objective of which was to celebrate the 250,000th 911 produced. This 250,000th example coincided with the 25th anniversary of the model launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1963.

Limited to 875 examples, the JUBILE was offered in 165 Targa, 205 Cabriolet, and 505 Coupé versions. Approximately 30 examples are believed to have been allocated to France.
