It was purchased new by its first and very long-time custodian via Porsche Düsseldorf Nordrhein Schultz KG. All original purchase documentation is still present with the car: the placement of the order, several discussions on specifications, letters. As per the Porsche internal build sheet, “Fahrzeug-Auftrag”, production started in November 1972 and was completed on January 10th, 1973. The original sales invoice was issued on January 31st, 1973 at a total price of 38.760,98 DM.
The originality of #0309 is remarkable, retaining its original matching-numbers powertrain and body. Whilst thoroughly inspecting this Carrera RS, you’ll excitingly find yourself immersed in a story of preservation: The cylinder heads are dated 1972, it retains its first rear fenders, its original VIN number plate and color plaque, its original A/C system, its original Hirschmann electric antenna, Repa seatbelts, knee pad and much more.
With over 300 pages of history from the very first day that include purchase documentation, original service book, services records every one or two years and restoration documentation, this 2.7 Carrera RS is as good the best documented example we’ve ever seen.
#0309 is a unique opportunity to acquire a first series, very rare factory specification, extremely original 1973 Carrera RS.
