It was delivered ex-factory in Grand Prix White, and the previous owner had it repainted in Porsche Silver. Personally, I think the color change is very nice, and I prefer the current color combination to the original color.
In May 2025, the previous owner took it to a Porsche specialist who took care of the entire engine setup again, so there is currently no need for action here—just get in and drive. The cost of the service was EUR 3,500. I changed the engine oil and filter again, using original Porsche Classic 20W50 oil, of course, as befits a 2.7-liter engine!
The brake system is as good as new; the master brake cylinder and various brake lines have been replaced, as has the brake fluid, of course. I also replaced all four shock absorbers. The damping was still OK, but a slight oil leak prompted me to replace everything. I also replaced the front strut bearings. Four new tires – anyone familiar with 15-inch rims knows how difficult it is to find rear tires in this size. I used stock tires with a DOT 2019 rating, but as I said, they are new tires: Pirelli in the front and Dunlop in the rear. You can not only feel the difference when driving, but also when you touch the tires. The interior is in excellent condition, everything is very well maintained, not only by the last owner. There is an extensive dossier on the vehicle, all previous owners are listed with their names and addresses, various documentation, some handwritten invoices, etc., in short, a folder full of information about the vehicle.
The Fuchs rims are from Maxilite, painted red, and also go very well with the color combination. Now you could go ahead and further expand the RS style, convert to 16-inch rims, etc., but personally, I would like to drive without a "cage," for example, as it's already cramped enough for me in the vehicle. But to each his own. Red-painted S brake calipers at the front, fire extinguisher from Porsche.
The previous owner removed the heat exchangers and installed a spaghetti exhaust system.
It is number 525 of only 528 Carrera models built in 1974. The stopwatches visible in the photos are not part of the vehicle and are not for sale. By the way, the clock doesn't work; I haven't had time to check it yet. I replaced the H4 bulbs with officially approved Philips LED bulbs, so now you can see something on the road at night. No matter where I show up with the car, I always get thumbs up. Sometimes it's annoying on the highway because it distracts you, but nowadays everyone immediately takes a video (usually without permission). The cost of German registration is included in the price, so there are no surprises for the buyer. Delivery can be made to 67591 Offstein. A friend of mine lives there who can also arrange for the full inspection §21/23, so that the buyer only has to go to the registration office. There are lots of photos in my cloud, and I will grant access to serious customers upon request after an initial consultation.
The speedometer dial was also converted to kph by the previous owner, but the mileage is still calculated in miles (current mileage: 101,321 mls = approx. 163,000 km), although the speed is in kph. The speedometer wheel would need to be converted so that both are displayed in km.
